We’re getting married at Riverwood Downs, in the Barrington Tops region of NSW. It’s a beautiful rural setting, and while many of our guests will be travelling from Newcastle, we recommend allowing a little extra time over the Easter long weekend.

We recommend using Google Maps or Apple Maps and downloading the map for offline use before you travel, as mobile reception can be limited on the final approach to the venue.
Most guests will be travelling by car.
From Newcastle & Lake Macquarie
Plan for around 1.5–2 hours, depending on traffic.
From the Mid North Coast
(Crescent Head, Kempsey, South West Rocks)
Plan for around 3–4 hours. This is a scenic drive, with the final stretch becoming more rural.
From Sydney & the Central Coast
Plan for around 3–3.5 hours, and longer during peak Easter holiday traffic.
Parking is available on site for both day guests and those staying at Riverwood Downs.
As you get closer to the venue, roads become narrower and signage is limited. Riverwood Downs provides clear, detailed driving directions, which we recommend following for the final approach.

Public transport options to the Barrington Tops area are extremely limited.
Rideshare services and taxis are not reliably available near Riverwood Downs, particularly on weekends. Planning to self-drive or arranging transport in advance is strongly recommended.
